How Articles Are Made

Graliven Press operates under a set of editorial principles that govern how subjects are selected, how sources are evaluated, and how finished articles are reviewed before publication. These principles are described in full below.

01 / Editorial Principles

Graliven Press operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

The publication focuses on a single subject domain — the relationship between food, metabolism, and everyday energy — and does not venture outside this scope without editorial justification. Subjects are selected based on their relevance to readers navigating daily nourishment decisions, not on trending search volume or advertiser interest.

Articles published on Graliven Press are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

02 / Publication Process

From Proposal to Publication

01

Subject Selection

Topics are drawn from emerging patterns in published nutritional research, reader correspondence, and seasonal relevance to everyday eating rhythms. Sensationalist subjects are excluded at this stage.

02

Source Gathering

Writers collect a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources per article. Grey literature — industry reports, press releases, and non-indexed publications — is accepted only as supplementary material, clearly labelled as such.

03

Draft & Review

First drafts are submitted to the editorial desk. Each article undergoes a two-stage review: one for factual accuracy against cited sources, and one for editorial register and structural coherence.

04

Fact-Checking

Specific claims — percentages, metabolic rates, research outcomes — are traced back to their primary source and cross-referenced independently. Any claim that cannot be independently verified is removed or reframed.

05

Publication

Approved articles are published with full attribution, publication date, and where applicable, a note of any commercial relationships disclosed by the writer. The article enters a post-publication review window of 30 days.

03 / Source Standards

What We Cite and Why

Tier 1 — Primary

Peer-Reviewed Research

Published research from indexed journals in nutrition science, physiology, and metabolic biology. Preferred sources include studies with sample sizes sufficient for statistical significance and with declared conflicts of interest evaluated at intake.

Tier 2 — Secondary

Institutional Reviews

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses from recognised nutritional bodies, as well as position statements from independent scientific organisations. These are accepted as contextual support for primary findings, not as standalone evidence.

Tier 3 — Supplementary

Industry & Grey Literature

Used only to provide context, illustrate real-world application, or describe regulatory environments. Always clearly labelled as supplementary and not used to substantiate factual claims made in the article body.

04 / Corrections & Updates

The Corrections Policy

When a factual error is identified — whether by an editor, a reader, or a third party — the following procedure applies. The correction is made to the article body within 48 hours of verification. A correction notice is appended to the article, noting the nature of the change and the date it was made. The original erroneous text is not retained.

For errors of interpretation — where no individual claim is false but the overall impression may be misleading — the article is reviewed in full and an editor's note is added where appropriate. The writer is notified in all cases.

Readers who believe they have identified an error are invited to contact the editorial desk at [email protected]. All such correspondence is regarded seriously and reviewed within two working days.

48h
Factual Corrections

Applied to article body within 48 hours of verified report. Correction notice appended with date.

30d
Post-Publication Review

All articles remain in an active review window for 30 days after publication, monitored for emerging research that may affect their accuracy.

2d
Reader Reports

Reader-submitted correction reports are reviewed within two working days. All reports receive a direct response.

Who Writes for Graliven Press

Graliven Press publishes work from writers with demonstrable backgrounds in nutritional science, physiology, dietetics, public health, or closely related disciplines. Background is established through a combination of formal qualification, published work history, and an editorial assessment of the writer's approach to evidence.

Writers are not required to hold academic positions, but they are required to demonstrate familiarity with the research literature in their subject area. A writer who cannot trace their claims to primary sources will not be published.

All contributing writers are required to complete a disclosure form at the time of submission. This form asks about commercial relationships, sponsored content agreements, and any financial interest in the subject matter of the article. Disclosed relationships are noted on the article page.

Subject Coverage

Metabolism, energy balance, nutrient partitioning, meal timing, resting expenditure, and related aspects of everyday nourishment.

Out of Scope

Content covering specific physical conditions, restrictive regimens, or subjects outside the scope of everyday nutritional practice is not considered for publication.

Tone

Graliven Press uses an evidence-informed, editorial register. Hyperbolic claims, dramatic language, and speculative assertions are removed at the review stage regardless of source backing.

06 / Independence

Wholly Independent

Graliven Press is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday wellness practices. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body. Advertising, where accepted, does not influence editorial decisions and is clearly separated from editorial content. The publication does not accept sponsored articles that are presented as editorial.
